Un amigo especial

Cuando un amigo te aporta además de su amistad, material que logra alcanzar cuotas de felicidad y éxito inusitadas, ese amigo adquiere un estatus superior a cualquier otro. No es sólo el amigo que comparte compañía y diálogo, que también se tiene en estima, si no que deja junto a ti parte de él mismo para los restos y el sentimiento de perderlo para siempre y quedarte con esos recuerdos compartidos debe de doler en el alma para siempre.

Esta fotografía me sugiere esos momentos especiales y únicos vividos por JEFF junto al gran RICHARD TANDY cuando grabaron la Sinfonía de «ELDORADO» de ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA, e incluso la imagen que envuelve el vinilo es muy sugerente al aparecer acurrucado RICHARD junto a un JEFF paternal, permisivo y a la vez sorprendido por el trabajo de su pupilo, en una de sus, quizá, más clásicas obras sinfónicas. Satisfecho con el resultado final y en compañía de quien posiblemente le aportó la estabilidad y tranquilidad para dar por acabada una obra tan compleja.

Sinceramente, pienso que las imágenes no están cogidas al azar, y si bien aquí hubiese podido ir a la perfección LOUIS CLARK, eligió JEFF a RICHARD TANDY con esa pose tan peculiar que sugiere tantas interpretaciones…

When a friend offers you not only their friendship but also material that achieves unprecedented levels of happiness and success, that friend attains a status superior to any other. It's not just a friend who shares companionship and dialogue, who is also highly valued, but one who leaves a part of themselves with you forever. The feeling of losing them and holding onto those shared memories must ache in the soul forever.
This photograph suggests to me those special and unique moments lived by JEFF with the great RICHARD TANDY when they recorded the "ELDORADO" Symphony of ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA. Even the image enveloping the vinyl is very suggestive, with RICHARD nestled next to a paternal, permissive, and at the same time, amazed JEFF, possibly by his pupil’s work, in one of their perhaps most classic symphonic pieces. Satisfied with the final result and in the company of someone who likely provided the stability and tranquility to complete such a complex work.
I sincerely believe that the images are not chosen at random. While LOUIS CLARK might have fit perfectly here, JEFF chose RICHARD TANDY with that peculiar pose, suggesting so many interpretations…
