Rick Price 1944/2022

El bajista de THE MOVE y Wizzard, Rick Price falleció el 17 de mayo de 2022 a los 77 años.

Rick Price se unió a THE MOVE en 1969 y permaneció con la banda hasta 1971. Tocó el bajo en los álbumes Shazam (1970) y Looking On (1970) y proporcionó la voz principal en la canción Lightning Never Strikes Twice. El álbum «Looking On» fue grabado con la formación de Roy Wood, JEFF LYNNE, Bev Bevan y Rick Price.

De 1972 a 1975 fue bajista de la banda Wizzard de Roy Wood. Rick también contribuyó con pistas de bajo a las primeras sesiones de ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA en su álbum debut NO ANSWER, pero ninguna de sus partes de bajo llegó a la mezcla final cuando se lanzó el álbum en 1971.

The bassist of THE MOVE and Wizzard, Rick Price, passed away on May 17, 2022, at the age of 77.
Rick Price joined THE MOVE in 1969 and remained with the band until 1971. He played bass on the albums "Shazam" (1970) and "Looking On" (1970) and provided lead vocals on the song "Lightning Never Strikes Twice." The album "Looking On" was recorded with the lineup of Roy Wood, JEFF LYNNE, Bev Bevan, and Rick Price.
From 1972 to 1975, he served as the bassist for Roy Wood's band, Wizzard. Rick also contributed bass tracks to the early sessions of ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA for their debut album, "NO ANSWER," but none of his bass parts made it to the final mix when the album was released in 1971.
