Este cartel que hoy traemos a nuestra sección de pósters de nuestra web y que denominaremos STARLIGHT ROOM es de un concierto celebrado en la ciudad de Boston (UK), con la particularidad de que actuaron con STEVE GIBBONS BAND.

Este concierto fue el último antes de comenzar las grabaciones a principios del mes de abril de 1973 del tema «SHOWDOWN» que salió antes que el disco ON THE THIRD DAY, e incluso las primeras tomas y sesiones de grabación de este álbum, tras las cuáles, sobre el día 7 de ese mismo mes retomaron el TOUR ELO II, volviendo el 8 de nuevo al mismo lugar donde dieron su primer e histórico y desastroso concierto un año antes en el Greyhound de Croydon todavía con ROY WOOD.



Apenas diez días después de este concierto, el 10 de abril de 1973, ofrecieron el conocido show en el que MARC BOLAN, cantante de T. REX, subió al escenario junto a los componentes de ELO para interpretar junto a ellos el tema final «ROLL OVER BEETHOVEN».







Dos meses después de esa actuación del 31 de marzo de 1973, comenzó su primer e histórico TOUR USA, que dio comienzo el 29 de mayo, ampliamente documentado en el libro «THE ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA STORY» de BEV BEVAN, así como en otros sitios de internet.

This poster, which we bring today to our posters section on our website and which we will call STARLIGHT ROOM, is from a concert held in the city of Boston (UK), with the particularity that they performed with STEVE GIBBONS BAND.
This concert was the last one before the recording sessions began in early April 1973 for the track "SHOWDOWN", which was released before the album ON THE THIRD DAY, and even the first takes and recording sessions for this album. After these sessions, around the 7th of that same month, they resumed the ELO II TOUR, returning on the 8th to the same venue where they had given their first historic and disastrous concert a year earlier at the Greyhound in Croydon, still with ROY WOOD.
Just ten days after this concert, on April 10, 1973, they performed the well-known show where MARC BOLAN, the singer of T. REX, joined the members of ELO on stage to perform the final track "ROLL OVER BEETHOVEN" together.
Two months after that performance on March 31, 1973, they began their first historic USA TOUR, which started on May 29, extensively documented in the book "THE ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA STORY" by BEV BEVAN, as well as on other internet sites.
