La canción de los Beatles, «NOW AND THEN», se publicará el próximo jueves 2 de noviembre con JEFF LYNNE como parte de la producción

Este último tema acabado a partir de una grabación inédita de JOHN LENNON verá la luz como single formando parte de una nueva reedición ampliada de los famosos álbumes rojo y azul de THE BEATLES y JEFF LYNNE formará parte de la producción en los créditos de «NOW AND THEN».

El productor JEFF LYNNE declaró que las sesiones para «NOW AND THEN» consistieron únicamente en «un día -una tarde, en realidad- trabajando con ella». La canción tenía estribillo, pero carecía casi totalmente de estrofas. «Hicimos la pista de acompañamiento, un borrador que realmente no terminamos». Otro factor que contribuyó a desechar la canción fue un defecto técnico en la grabación original. Al igual que en «REAL LOVE», en la maqueta de Lennon se oía un zumbido de 60 ciclos. Sin embargo, en «NOW AND THEN» era mucho más fuerte, por lo que resultó mucho más difícil de eliminar».

Hoy, gracias a la Inteligencia Artificial (una tecnología que ya se empleó, por ejemplo, en la producción de la serie documental ‘Get back’) han permitido al fin aislar la voz de Lennon sin ruidos molestos. Manteniendo la guitarra que Harrison grabó en 1995, McCartney y Starr añadieron el año pasado a la pieza nuevas pistas de batería, bajo, guitarra y piano, así como unos coros. La grabación se completó con un arreglo de cuerda escrito por Giles Martin (hijo de George Martin) y, en un «sutil toque final», con unas voces extraídas de ‘Here, there and everywhere’, ‘Eleanor Rigby’ y ‘Because’.

This last song finished from an unreleased recording by JOHN LENNON will be released as a single as part of a new expanded reissue of THE BEATLES' famous red and blue albums.
Producer JEFF LYNNE stated that the sessions for "NOW AND THEN" consisted of only "one day - one afternoon, actually - working with her." The song had a chorus, but almost completely lacked verses. "We made the backing track, a rough draft that we didn't really finish." Another factor that contributed to the song's scrap was a technical defect in the original recording. As in "REAL LOVE", a 60-cycle hum was heard on Lennon's demo. However, in "NOW AND THEN" it was much stronger, so it was much more difficult to remove.
"Today, thanks to Artificial Intelligence (a technology that was already used, for example, in the production of the documentary series 'Get back') they have finally made it possible to isolate Lennon's voice without noise.annoying. Maintaining the guitar that Harrison recorded in 1995, McCartney and Starr added new drum, bass, guitar and piano tracks, as well as some backing vocals, to the piece last year.
