Kingdom Come
Kingdom Come (La llegada del Reino*) es un cómic de la editorial DC Comics escrito por Mark Waid y dibujado por Alex Ross que se publicó en el año 1996 en cuatro partes, para después recopilarse en formato de novela gráfica. Esta obra se considera una obra maestra dentro del género, tanto por su argumento como por su calidad artística.
En la primera de las cuatro partes de Kingdom Come aparece una página con un dibujo muy especial para cualquier fan de ELO/JEFF, ya que se ve la «ciudad esmeralda», una estación espacial convertida en la nueva sede satélite de la Liga de la Justicia, a la cual se accede desde una nave muy particular como es la de la portada del álbum OUT OF THE BLUE de ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA y en la que se basó el dibujante de este cómic, imaginamos que con los permisos correspondientes para su publicación por aquel entonces.
Su argumento se basa en una humanidad repleta de metahumanos (seres con superpoderes), los cuales utilizan sus habilidades para su beneficio o para aplicar una forma distorsionada de justicia. Esto los enfrenta con los miembros de la Liga de la Justicia, contando la nueva generación y el apoyo de los héroes originales: Superman, la Mujer Maravilla, Batman, Linterna Verde y Flash, entre otros, que regresan después que una explosión nuclear destruyera Kansas (el hogar de Superman) este hecho los devuelve a la palestra en medio de una nueva sociedad de villanos liderada por Lex Luthor y las Organización de las Naciones Unidas en contra de los metahumanos.

This work is considered a masterpiece within the genre, both for its plot and for its artistic quality.
In the first of the four parts of Kingdom Come, a page appears with a very special drawing for any ELO/JEFF fan, as it shows the "emerald city", a space station converted into the new satellite headquarters of the League of Nations. Justicia, which is accessed from a very particular ship such as the one on the cover of the album OUT OF THE BLUE by ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA and on which the cartoonist of this comic was based, we imagine that with the corresponding permissions for its publication by back then.
Its argument is based on a humanity full of metahumans (beings with superpowers), which use their abilities for their benefit or to apply a distorted form of justice. This pits them against the members of the Justice League, counting the new generation and the support of the original heroes: Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Green Lantern and Flash, among others, who return after a nuclear explosion destroyed Kansas.
