«OUT OF THE BLUE» INSTRUMENTAL MEDLEY 2

Indudablemente, el trabajo final de la maravillosa obra musical de ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA «OUT OF THE BLUE» fue IMPECABLE en todos los sentidos. De eso no cabe la menor de las dudas por parte de, diría yo, cualquier fan de ELO/JEFF de nuestro mundo. Una auténtica obra de arte musical creada en el menor tiempo posible que perdurará por los siglos de los siglos para los más sibaritas mELOmanos del planeta tierra y del universo entero.

Y hoy pregunto… ¿Hubo más de un OUT OF THE BLUE?… y es LOUIS CLARK JR. quien nos responde con rotundidad que hubo, dentro del mismo original, varias formas de escucharlo y, hasta quizá para algunos, otras versiones tan válidas como la editada y hasta quizá más espectaculares en algunas de sus partes. Y lo demuestra con ejemplos claros y evidentes, no sólo musicales, si no también con imágenes de las partituras originales compuestas por su propio padre, el gran LOUIS CLARK, eminente director de orquesta y compositor de gran parte de esta obra de ELO que alcanzó límites rozando los bordes de los abismos mismos de la locura de la exquisitez.

Las tomas musicales que LOUIS CLARK JR. nos ha regalado recientemente con este «OUT OF THE BLUE» INSTRUMENTAL MEDLEY 2 a los oídos de los fans de ELO dejan entrever la GRANDIOSIDAD Y CREATIVIDAD de su padre como compositor y arreglista, sin género de dudas. Momentos clave de esta obra que fueron suprimidas, suponemos por la gran cantidad de pistas, de las cuáles el mismo JEFF LYNNE se vería desbordado ante tanta maravilla, y de las que, necesariamente tuvo que descartar, imagino que en ocasiones con dificultad y disgusto. Partes que hoy nos suenan a gloria celestial, pero que no hubo más remedio que prescindir de ellas mal que nos pese, pero que, ahora, podemos disfrutar GRACIAS a la bondad y el gesto del hijo de quien logró construir tales maravillas y al que, personalmente yo JRequena en nombre de ELO ESPAÑA agradezco con enorme satisfacción.

Ya hace unos años el mismo LOUIS CLARK JR. nos mostró una pequeña parte de esta misma obra con el nombre de «ELO – «Out Of The Blue» Instrumental Medley» que nunca antes sonó para los fans de ELO y nos deslumbró su increíble posibilidad para que hubiese formado parte de la grabación final, y hoy escuchamos esta «segunda parte» con más temas que, nos dejan perplejos y absortos, haciéndonos la pregunta de ¿Hubo otro «OUT OF THE BLUE»? sin que la falta de voces y coros sea motivo para desechar esta maravilla. La obra final es la editada, pero a nadie se le debe escapar poder escuchar esto para conocer cómo comenzó a fraguarse esa espectacular maravilla musical que JEFF dio por acabada cuando grabó el definitivo máster.

Yo sería de los que estaría dispuesto a pagar por tener entre mi colección este trabajo completo aún sin las voces finales ni el acabado completo de la edición final, porque entiendo que estamos ante un álbum que, aunque ya conocemos en toda su extensión, no lo conocemos como se concibió desde un principio, siendo en ese momento una obra original y pura, siempre a falta de la mezcla final con voces, coros y demás instrumentos que la ensalzaron al olimpo.

No hay gratitud que premie tal regalo por parte de LOUIS CLARK JR. ni tampoco justos aquellos que no se lo agradezcan. Poco o más bien nada podemos esperar a partir de hoy los fans de ELO y bienvenido es este obsequio que llega de manos del propio LOUIS CLARK de manos de su propio hijo.

Undoubtedly, the final work of the marvelous musical masterpiece "OUT OF THE BLUE" by ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA was IMPECCABLE in every sense. There is no doubt about that from any ELO/JEFF fan in our world, I would say. A true musical work of art created in the shortest time possible that will endure for centuries for the most discerning music lovers on planet Earth and the entire universe.
And today I ask… Was there more than one OUT OF THE BLUE? And it is LOUIS CLARK JR. who responds emphatically that within the original, there were several ways to listen to it, and perhaps for some, other versions just as valid as the released one, and maybe even more spectacular in some parts. He demonstrates this with clear and evident examples, not only musical but also with images of the original scores composed by his own father, the great LOUIS CLARK, an eminent conductor and composer of much of this ELO work that reached the very edges of the abyss of exquisite madness.
The musical takes that LOUIS CLARK JR. has recently gifted us with this "OUT OF THE BLUE INSTRUMENTAL MEDLEY 2" reveal the GRANDEUR AND CREATIVITY of his father as a composer and arranger, without a doubt. Key moments of this work that were cut, presumably due to the sheer number of tracks, from which JEFF LYNNE himself would have been overwhelmed by such wonder, and which he necessarily had to discard, sometimes with difficulty and regret. Parts that now sound like celestial glory to us, but that had to be omitted, much to our regret, but that we can now enjoy THANKS to the kindness and gesture of the son of the man who created such wonders and to whom, personally, I, JRequena on behalf of ELO ESPAÑA, am enormously grateful.
A few years ago, LOUIS CLARK JR. showed us a small part of this same work under the name "ELO – «Out Of The Blue» Instrumental Medley" which had never before been heard by ELO fans and dazzled us with its incredible potential to have been part of the final recording. Today, we listen to this "second part" with more tracks that leave us astonished and absorbed, making us wonder, was there another "OUT OF THE BLUE"? without the lack of vocals and choruses being a reason to discard this wonder. The final work is the released one, but no one should miss the chance to listen to this to understand how this spectacular musical marvel that JEFF completed when he recorded the final master began to take shape.
I would be among those willing to pay to have this complete work in my collection, even without the final vocals or the complete finish of the final edition, because I understand that we are facing an album that, although we already know it in its entirety, we do not know it as it was originally conceived, being at that moment an original and pure work, always lacking the final mix with vocals, choruses, and other instruments that elevated it to the heights.
No gratitude can reward such a gift from LOUIS CLARK JR. nor are there any just who do not thank him. Little or nothing more can we expect from today as ELO fans, and this gift from LOUIS CLARK's own son is most welcome.
