John Kosh es uno de los artistas originales y reconocidos del Rock and Roll a nivel mundial. Ha ganado tres premios Grammy y tiene seis nominaciones a dirección de arte. Kosh es el ex director de arte de Apple Records y fue el diseñador de las portadas icónicas de ELO – OUT OF THE BLUE, Abbey Road de The Beatles. The Who – Who’s Next y The Eagles – Hotel California, entre muchos otros. Siendo además, el diseñador de la evolución del famoso primer logo de ELO.

The idea for the Out of the Blue ELO cover art began during a game of frisbee tossing between Kosh and his son. This frisbee was made by Kosh as a game of that original idea in the 70's.
