Estudio de JEFF en Shard End

JEFF en su estudio casero, tras ocupar la habitación de sus padres en Shard End, Birmingham, a principios de los 70. «Con sólo un micro y una entrada de guitarra podía grabar más o menos cualquier cosa».

Este recorte apareció en la revista-magazine Record Collector de diciembre de 2019 y al tratarse de una fotografía curiosa que no habíamos visto anteriormente, la hemos traído hasta nuestra web por curiosa.

Curiosamente, en ELO2 Lost Planet aparece la siguiente imagen con la especificación de que se trata de una sesión de ELO en AIR London Studios en 1972, con lo cual lo primero no sería correcto. Aunque si es cierto (aunque haya quien lo ponga en duda), que se trata de JEFF LYNNE.

Quizá la foto no corresponda a lo que Record Collector dice en su artículo, aunque existe constancia en el álbum TIME del agradecimiento de JEFF hacia sus padres por prestarle el salón de su casa cuando dice: «Thanks to Phil & Nancy for the use of their front room”. ¿Confusión?

Por otro lado y después de publicar este artículo en nuestra web, Dave Pritchard confirmó a su mujer Fiona que era la sala de estar de la casa de los padres de JEFF y que él estuvo allí: «Many houses had two rooms, the back room might be called a family room now and would have been used as the day to day living room, the front room was usually kept for visitors or as a ‘best room’. Dave tells me it was the front room, he went there».

This clipping appeared in the Record Collector magazine-magazine of December 2019 and as it is a curious photograph that we had not seen before, we have brought it to our website because it is curious.
Curiously, in ELO2 Lost Planet the following image appears with the specification that it is an ELO session at AIR London Studios in 1972, so the former would not be correct. Although it is true (although there are those who doubt it), that it is JEFF LYNNE.
Perhaps the photo does not correspond to what Record Collector says in his article, although there is evidence in the TIME album of JEFF's gratitude to his parents for lending him the living room of his house when he says: "Thanks to Phil & Nancy for the use of their front room.” Confusion?
On the other hand, and after publishing this article on our website, Dave Pritchard confirmed to his wife Fiona that it was the living room of JEFF's parents' house and that he was there: "Many houses had two rooms, the back room might be called a family room now and would have been used as the day to day living room, the front room was usually kept for visitors or as a 'best room'. Dave tells me it was the front room, he went there".
