ELOcuencias / NOW AND THEN por cortesía
Siento que la cortesía haya podido ser la causante de que los créditos del, según dicen, último tema de The Beatles «NOW AND THEN», incluya a alguien tan sumamente importante entre todos los demás como lo es JEFF LYNNE, y, he de confesar que me alegro de ello sobremanera, aunque haya sido con el rótulo de «Additional Production» como un mérito caritativo.
Considero que sobraba lo de «Additional», pues parece que lo relega a un puesto diferente e incluso inferior, quizá para dar más pompa a un Paul que quería sobresalir y llevarse el tema a su terreno (que para eso es el que comanda la banda).
Y digo que lo siento, porque da toda la impresión de que no han contado con JEFF ni para añadirlo en los créditos de la forma que le corresponde y con sus merecidas virtudes y justicia, a no ser que su trabajo de 1995 no haya sido tenida en cuenta o la Inteligencia Artificial la haya modificado de forma tal que se considere que la haya «Additional algo» y ya no sea la misma que él dejó en aquellas fechas con la aprobación de su buen amigo GEORGE HARRISON.
Que conste que esta opinión esta basada en un criterio muy personal y hasta quizá equivocado porque mi «Additional admiración» por JEFF podría influir en mi forma de valorar este tema que, sinceramente, me parece un «vino de la casa» sin más pretensiones que las de pasar la bandeja de nuevo entre sus fans.

I feel that courtesy may have been the cause of including someone as immensely important among all others as JEFF LYNNE in the credits of what is said to be The Beatles' latest song "NOW AND THEN." I must confess that I am delighted by this to a great extent, even though it has been labeled as "Additional Production" as a charitable merit.
I think the "Additional" part was unnecessary, as it seems to relegate him to a different and possibly inferior position, perhaps to give more pomp to Paul, who wanted to stand out and take the theme in his direction (after all, he is the one leading the band).
And I say I feel sorry because it gives the impression that JEFF has not been considered even to be included in the credits in the way he deserves, with his merits and justice, unless his work from 1995 has not been taken into account, or the Artificial Intelligence has modified it in such a way that it is considered as "Additional something," and it is no longer the same as he left it in those times with the approval of his good friend GEORGE HARRISON.
Please note that this opinion is based on a very personal and perhaps mistaken criterion because my "Additional admiration" for JEFF could influence my way of evaluating this theme, which honestly seems like a "house wine" with no more pretensions than passing the tray again among its fans.
