Pocas reformas o restauraciones podría necesitar a estas alturas ELO cuando durante tantos años no se han preocupado quienes se deberían haber puesto manos a la obra años atrás con el fin de que la marca no se deteriorase como lo ha hecho estos últimos años. La dejadez ha restado lo más importante para una banda: FANS, y con ello parte de su fama y prestigio, al menos desde mi punto de vista y después de hacer un estudio de la situación del seguimiento de fans a través de las redes sociales e internet en general a lo largo de los años…

Vamos quedando menos y eso se nota en las estadísticas que se refieren a ELO/JEFF en cualquier lugar desde donde se publican noticias o simples notas de esta banda. Da vértigo pensar en lo que se ha perdido en pocos años y lo que todavía está por perderse a este ritmo… Todo por abandono.

Siento tristeza por quienes lograron ensalzar y elevar hasta los cielos esta banda y a la vez creo que merecen nuestro agradecimiento, aunque eso no implica la dejadez y el abandono al que se ha condenado a ELO.

Pienso que si no fuese por quienes todavía publican algún tipo de noticia, nota, anécdota, curiosidad… Sin quienes comentan y hablan en redes sobre esta banda hace mucho tiempo que apenas nada se sabría de JEFF LYNNE. Los FANS han cogido el testigo sin que nadie se los pida, de forma altruista y generosa, y a ellos agradezco desde aquí su esfuerzo y dedicación. FANS de Argentina, Francia, Alemania, Polonia… Mi aplauso y agradecimiento por seguir ahí manteniendo la llama encendida incluso cuando la web oficial por muchos años como FTM abandonó su apoyo de un día para otro.

Echo de menos el apoyo que tienen los fans de Beatles, o de Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons Project, Supertramp, Genesis, Mike Oldfield… y tantos otros desde sus entes oficiales. Creo que siempre fuimos diferentes y ahora, al final, no podía ser de distinta manera. Aún así, bendecimos la obra de quien nos guio hasta la nave de ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA, que no es otro que el genio indiscutible de JEFF LYNNE.

¿Estamos ante el fin de ELO/JEFF? ¿Tendremos aunque tan sólo sea un EP con tres canciones interpretadas por JEFF LYNNE en estudio y un tema instrumental para evitar más esfuerzo a su voz como despedida final? ¿Nos espera el silencio del que ya estamos tan acostumbrados hasta el final de los tiempos? Todavía hay tiempo de solucionar y restaurar el daño causado si hay interés, pero el tiempo corre en contra de ello y los FANS cada día son menos y los que quedan están más cansados de tanta espera…

Cierto es que somos una raza única y sufridora, pero a la vez privilegiada como no hay otra, aún así no nos resignamos a que el olvido diluya tanta fama y corroa las entrañas de nuestra nave, con la que recorrimos el exclusivo e inimitable universo musical de ELO/JEFF. Por eso, siempre quedará la esperanza de volver a ver brillar de nuevo la luz por muchos años que pasemos sin noticias de JEFF. A la espera quedamos… como es habitual… aunque los números rojos mermen cada día la ilusión de volver a subir cada escalón bajado con tanta prisa…

Sea como fuere, el deterioro entre los fans y seguidores de ELO/JEFF de todo el mundo se ha visto afectado, primero por la desidia y dejadez de quienes deberían haber velado por el legado de JEFF LYNNE durante tantos años atrás, segundo por el mutismo entre actos y actuaciones, además de la paralización de lo que debería haber sido una web oficial dinámica, y tercero por el abandono hacia los fans que no han sido informados nunca de nada de aquello que ocurría alrededor de la marca y el propio JEFF, aparte de no estar dispuestos a trabajar por mantener a flote la nave que hoy parece que ya reposa cogiendo polvo en un rincón del olvido sin epílogo después de un prólogo, introducción e historia y tan sumamente épicas.

Por otro lado tampoco creemos edificante y, gracias a Dios tenemos pocos, pero si existen algunos fans que se creen con derecho a apropiarse de cualquier noticia que cae en sus manos, haciéndolas suyas y tomándolas «en propiedad», e incluso amenazando a quien se haga eco de ellas como si tuviesen un derecho adquirido por haberlas capturado del propio internet antes que los demás, e intentando de esa manera reducir la posibilidad de que todos los fans, sean de donde sean y hablen el idioma que hablen seamos altavoz de cualquier novedad ELO/JEFF, siendo en este caso en perjuicio de esta banda, algo que no entendemos. Desde ELO ESPAÑA siempre hemos optado por divulgar y hacernos eco en habla hispana de cuanto acontece en torno al mundo ELO/JEFF a nivel mundial y no tenemos ni ponemos impedimento alguno a que se utilice cualquier información que desde nuestra web utilicemos para darla a conocer. ELOSPcom está abierta a todo fan y divulgador de la buena nueva de JEFF LYNNE incluso añadiendo su nombre (siempre con su permiso) en caso de aportar alguien su propia información. Trabajemos en equipo y unidos por y para ELO/JEFF en adelante ya que somos apenas unos pocos los que nos dedicamos a mantener viva la llama a través de este medio.

Aparte están aquellos que guardan material inédito en secreto y que se la reparten como si de una secta se tratase beneficiándose un muy reducido grupo de esas exclusividades, imagino que creyendo con ello que hacen bien a la comunidad ELO/JEFF, y reduciendo todavía más el círculo de fans y seguidores que creen que ya nada queda por oír ni ver de su grupo favorito. Considero que no nos beneficia en absoluto ser tan reservados entre los propios fans. Poco pueden pedir quienes obran de esta manera.

Al final, la verdad a gritos es que el mundo que un día nos emocionó y del cual vivimos un sueño se desmorona por momentos sin que nadie pueda hacer nada, ni ponga remedio y, lo peor de todo es que lo sabemos, como sabemos que se caerá en silencio. Sin hacer apenas ruido. Un día nos levantaremos con la sensación de haber perdido algo que ya nadie podrá sustituir y que asumiremos igualmente, en silencio. Quizá un noticiario se haga eco de ello de pasada porque ya hace años que perdió la importancia y relevancia que tuvo cuando este grupo toco ciELO.

Por suerte nos queda todo un TESORO de JOYAS MUSICALES que reposan en el mejor de los estantes de nuestra casa, esperando ser pinchados para regocijo de quienes sabemos disfrutar de la buena música. La única e insuperable música de un GENIO que, por suerte, coincidió con nuestra existencia para deleitar nuestros oídos y sentidos. No se puede pedir más a la vida, que puso banda sonora a nuestro paso por ella. Una banda sonora ÚNICA, EXCLUSIVA, INIMITABLE e IRREPETIBLE. GRACIAS JEFF.

Few reforms or restorations may be needed at this point for ELO when for so many years those who should have taken action years ago to prevent the brand from deteriorating as it has in recent years haven't bothered. Neglect has diminished the most important thing for a band: FANS, and with it, part of their fame and prestige, at least from my point of view after studying the fan following situation through social media and the internet in general over the years...
We are dwindling, and it shows in the statistics regarding ELO/JEFF from any source where news or simple notes about this band are published. It's staggering to think about what has been lost in a few years and what is still to be lost at this rate... All due to neglect.
I feel sadness for those who managed to praise and elevate this band to the heavens, and at the same time, I believe they deserve our gratitude, although that does not imply the neglect and abandonment that ELO has been condemned to.
I think that if it weren't for those who still publish some kind of news, note, anecdote, curiosity... Without those who comment and talk on social media about this band, we would hardly know anything about JEFF LYNNE. FANS have taken the torch without being asked, altruistically and generously, and I thank them from here for their effort and dedication. Fans from Argentina, France, Germany, Poland... My applause and gratitude for still being there keeping the flame alive even when the official website for many years like FTM abandoned its support overnight.
I miss the support that fans of the Beatles, or Pink Floyd, Alan Parsons Project, Supertramp, Genesis, Mike Oldfield... and so many others have from their official entities. I believe we were always different, and now, in the end, it couldn't be any other way. Still, we bless the work of the one who guided us to the ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA ship, who is none other than the undisputed genius of JEFF LYNNE.
Are we facing the end of ELO/JEFF? Will we have even just an EP with three songs performed by JEFF LYNNE in the studio and an instrumental track to spare his voice more effort as a final farewell? Are we awaiting the silence we are already so accustomed to until the end of time? There is still time to remedy and restore the damage if there is interest, but time is running against it, and the FANS are becoming fewer every day, and those who remain are more tired of waiting...
It's true that we are a unique and suffering race, but at the same time privileged like no other, yet we refuse to let oblivion dilute so much fame and gnaw at the core of our ship, with which we traversed the exclusive and inimitable musical universe of ELO/JEFF. That's why there will always be hope to see the light shine again, no matter how many years pass without news of JEFF. We wait... as usual... although the red numbers chip away at the hope of climbing back up each step rushed down with such haste...
Be that as it may, the deterioration among ELO/JEFF fans and followers worldwide has been affected, first by the neglect and indifference of those who should have looked after JEFF LYNNE's legacy for so many years, second by the silence between events and performances, in addition to the stagnation of what should have been a dynamic official website, and third by the abandonment of fans who have never been informed of anything that was happening around the brand and JEFF himself, apart from being unwilling to work to keep the ship afloat, which now seems to rest gathering dust in a forgotten corner without an epilogue after such an epic prologue, introduction, and history.
On the other hand, we also find it discouraging, and thankfully there are few, but if there are some fans who believe they have the right to appropriate any news that comes their way, making it their own and taking it "in ownership," and even threatening those who echo them as if they had a right acquired by capturing them from the internet before others, thereby trying to reduce the possibility that all fans, regardless of where they are from and what language they speak, become a platform for any ELO/JEFF news, to the detriment of the band, something we don't understand. From ELO SPAIN, we have always chosen to disseminate and echo in Spanish everything that happens around the ELO/JEFF world globally, and we do not have any impediment for anyone to use any information that we use from our website to make it known. ELOSPcom is open to every fan and disseminator of the good news of JEFF LYNNE, even adding their name (always with their permission) if they provide their own information. Let's work together and united for ELO/JEFF from now on, as there are only a few of us dedicated to keeping the flame alive through this medium.
Then there are those who keep unpublished material secret and distribute it as if it were a sect benefiting a very small group of those exclusivities, perhaps thinking that they are doing good for the ELO/JEFF community, and further reducing the circle of fans and followers who believe that there is nothing left to hear or see from their favorite group. I believe it does not benefit us at all to be so reserved among fellow fans. Those who act in this way can hardly demand anything.
In the end, the truth shouts out that the world that once thrilled us and from which we lived a dream crumbles by the moment without anyone being able to do anything, nor remedy it, and the worst of all is that we know it, just as we know it will fall in silence. Without making much noise. One day we will wake up with the feeling of having lost something that no one can replace and that we will assume nonetheless, in silence. Perhaps a news report will briefly mention it because it lost the importance and relevance it had when this group touched the sky.
Fortunately, we still have a TREASURE trove of MUSICAL GEMS resting on the best shelf in our house, waiting to be played for the delight of those who know how to enjoy good music. The only and unsurpassable music of a GENIUS who, luckily, coincided with our existence to delight our ears and senses. One cannot ask for more from life, which provided the soundtrack to our journey through it. A UNIQUE, EXCLUSIVE, INIMITABLE, and IRREPEATABLE soundtrack. THANK YOU JEFF.
