Una vez despejada la incógnita de que no habrá más conciertos de JEFF LYNNE’S ELO en directo después de este «THE OVER AND OUT TOUR 2024», con lo cual se suprime la posibilidad de un salto desde USA al continente Europeo, nos queda la duda de si todo lo relacionado con el tema ELO fuera de este ámbito presencial sobre escenarios frente al público también correrá la misma suerte, o por el contrario, existe alguna posibilidad de que exista una edición o lanzamiento discográfico nuevo en un futuro cercano.

Sería de agradecer que, aunque fuese a final del presente TOUR se desvelase el futuro de la marca ELO en adelante, aunque mucho nos tememos que, los antecedentes no han sido muy elocuentes en ese aspecto años atrás y nos quedemos con las ganas de saber y con la miel en los labios.

Por lo pronto, sabemos que material existe y que posibilidades podría haber de que obtuviésemos algo grabado en estudio años atrás. Indudablemente, grabaciones realizadas hace pocos años no podemos esperar. La decisión no es nuestra y por mucho que nos empeñemos en conocer lo que nos depara el futuro y lo que decidan quienes tienen el poder de hacerlo, no sirve de nada mientras ellos no suelten prenda y, lamentablemente, no son muy comunicativos.

Que JEFF acabará agotado después de este tour es un hecho y que tiene todo el derecho a tomar la decisión que le permita vivir de las rentas de su trabajo, también. Bastante ha hecho ya con presentarse de nuevo frente a frente con su público, aunque sea por última vez. Valentía no le ha faltado y eso es de agradecer. ¡Qué más quisiéramos que tenerlo siempre a disposición! Ahora nuestro HÉROE, pasará a denominarse LEYENDA, un título que muy pocos consiguen con los honores que JEFF LYNNE merece y ha obtenido por méritos propios.

Sea como sea, si no hay ningún anuncio que indique cual será el camino que seguirá ELO en el futuro, nosotros, sus fans, SIEMPRE seguiremos mirando hacia el futuro. Hacia ese horizonte que, por muchos años más que transcurran, soñaremos creyendo vislumbrar algún día. La LUZ DE ELO que vuelva a brillar para todos nosotros una vez más.

Pienso que, llegado el último concierto, tendremos una idea de lo que nos espera en adelante dependiendo si hay o no algún tipo de declaración o «mensaje secreto» que podamos descifrar desde ese escenario que cierre el TOUR y con él nuestra propia existencia. Sólo deseamos que si lo hay, sea claro y preciso, no ambiguo e indescifrable. Es evidente que con interés la marca ELO persistirá hasta el final de los tiempos, o como dijo el mismo JEFF: «El legado de ELO siempre brillará». Sin interés, sólo quedará un reducido reducto de seguidores que irá mermando con el tiempo hasta consumirse tras quienes quieran mantener viva la llama de forma particular, personal, o bien a través de algún medio de internet a costa propia… El futuro de ELO sin el líder… es incierto y, sinceramente, yo dudo mucho que haya un anuncio esperanzador en el último concierto.

Once it's been made clear that there will be no more live concerts by JEFF LYNNE'S ELO after this "THE OVER AND OUT TOUR 2024," which also means no chance of a European leg, we are left wondering if everything related to ELO outside of live performances will meet the same fate. Or, could there still be a possibility of a new album or release in the near future?
It would be greatly appreciated if, by the end of this TOUR, the future of the ELO brand were revealed. However, we're afraid that, based on past experiences, we might be left wanting and without clear answers, just as has happened in previous years.
For now, we know that there is material out there and that there could be a chance of something recorded in the studio years ago being released. It's undeniable that we can't expect recordings made in recent years. The decision isn't ours to make, and no matter how much we want to know what the future holds, it’s pointless unless those with the power to decide choose to reveal anything—and unfortunately, they haven't been very communicative in the past.
It’s a fact that JEFF will be exhausted after this tour, and he has every right to decide to live off the fruits of his work. He has done more than enough by stepping onto the stage again, even if it’s for the last time. He’s shown incredible courage, and for that, we are grateful. Of course, we would all love to have him always available to us. But now, our HERO will be known as a LEGEND—a title that very few achieve with the honors that JEFF LYNNE deserves and has earned on his own merits.
Regardless of whether there is any announcement about the future of ELO, we, the fans, will ALWAYS keep looking ahead. Toward that horizon, we’ll continue dreaming for many more years to come, believing that one day we might see the LIGHT OF ELO shine for us once more.
I believe that by the final concert, we will have a better idea of what lies ahead, depending on whether there is any statement or "secret message" that we can decipher from the stage where the TOUR, and perhaps our journey as fans, will conclude. We only hope that if there is such a message, it will be clear and precise, not ambiguous or indecipherable. It's evident that with interest, the ELO brand will persist until the end of time, or as JEFF himself said, "The legacy of ELO will always shine." Without interest, only a small remnant of followers will remain, gradually dwindling over time until it fades away, leaving only those who wish to keep the flame alive in a personal or individual way, perhaps through some self-funded online platform. The future of ELO without its leader is uncertain, and honestly, I highly doubt there will be any hopeful announcement during the final concert.
