Roy Wood se ha asociado con la destilería local Nelson’s Distillery & School para crear una nueva ginebra.
A Roy Wood, que vive en Cubley cerca de Ashbourne, Neil Harrison, fundador y maestro destilador de Nelson, le pidió que produjera su propio espíritu artesanal y para ello fue invitado a la Escuela de ginebra y vodka de Nelson en Uttoxeter.
El músico dijo: «Me sorprendió haber sido invitado por Nelson’s para crear mi propia ginebra. Incluso aceptaron permitirme diseñar mi propio sello»… «Hace unos años tuve el honor de dar un concierto para el SAS y descubrieron que su bebida favorita era siempre 57% Navy Strength Gin. Así que pensamos que sería bueno hacer una Christmas Cheer Gin con 57% en volumen « …«Tuve un día interesante en Nelson’s Distillery y me intrigó la cantidad de ingredientes que se pueden mezclar en la infusión terminada. Dado que la etiqueta dice Christmas Cheer, pensamos que sería una buena idea tener un sabor festivo para crear en tiempos Navideños».
Christmas Cheer es una mezcla de sabores de canela, nuez moscada y clavo, endulzados con vainilla malgache y luego aclarados con un toque de rosa.
La alegría navideña comenzó el lunes 8 de noviembre de 2021 para celebrar el cumpleaños de Roy y por supuesto la próxima temporada navideña.
El líder de Wizzard, Roy Wood, está listo para difundir un tipo muy diferente de alegría navideña después de producir su propio espíritu artesanal.
Nelson’s Distillery and School, en Uttoxeter, se ha asociado con el líder, mejor conocido por el éxito ‘I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday’, para producir una ginebra que tiene un gran impacto. Y el líder incluso ha nombrado acertadamente su bebida alcohólica Christmas Cheer.

Roy Wood has teamed up with local distillery Nelson's Distillery & School to create a new gin.
Roy Wood, who lives in Cubley near Ashbourne, was asked by Neil Harrison, Nelson's founder and master distiller, to produce his own craft spirit and was invited to attend Nelson's Gin and Vodka School in Uttoxeter.
The musician said: "I was surprised to have been invited by Nelson's to create my own gin. They even agreed to let me design my own label"… "A few years ago I had the honor of giving a concert for the SAS and they found out that their favorite drink was always 57% Navy Strength Gin So we thought it would be nice to make a Christmas Cheer Gin with 57% by volume "…"I had an interesting day at Nelson's Distillery and was intrigued by the number of ingredients that can be mixed into the finished brew Since the label says Christmas Cheer, we thought it would be a good idea to have a festive flavor to create at Christmas times."
Christmas Cheer is a mix of flavors of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves, sweetened with Malagasy vanilla and then clarified with a hint of rose.
The holiday cheer began on Monday 8th November 2021 to celebrate Roy's birthday and of course the upcoming holiday season.
Wizzard frontman Roy Wood is ready to spread a very different kind of holiday cheer after producing his own handcrafted spirit.
Nelson's Distillery and School, in Uttoxeter, have teamed up with the frontman, best known for the hit 'I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday', to produce a gin that packs a punch. And the frontman has even aptly named his alcoholic drink Christmas Cheer.
