Boletín CLUB DE FANS DE ELO ’79/’80
Gracias a Mike Hudson hemos podido conocer de cerca los boletines supuestamente oficiales de ELO que, por ser socio del ELO FAN CLUB por allá por los años 79 y 80, tenías el privilegio de recibir en tu domicilio vía correo postal.
En alguno de los discos de la banda de aquella época se podía encontrar un flyer publicitario para hacerse socio de este privilegiado club y con ello recibirías un CARNET OFICIAL, teniendo la posibilidad de comprar camisetas con el logo de ELO, además de recibir un BOLETÍN OFICIAL trimestral con noticias de actualidad de la banda.
Los primeros que recibió Mike fueron los correspondientes a «Otoño de 1979» e «Invierno de 1980». Más tarde recibió los números «3» y «4» escritos a mano en la parte superior. A partir de entonces nada se supo del ELO FAN CLUB, aunque al parecer hubo otros boletines que nunca llegó a recibir.
Personalmente, puedo decir que yo también me asocié por esos años a este CLUB, al que aboné la cantidad solicitada, pero del que nunca recibí el CARNET, ni información alguna en casa, pese a que esperé al cartero durante meses.

Thanks to Mike Hudson we have been able to get up close and personal with the supposedly official ELO newsletters that, as a member of the ELO FAN CLUB back in the 79s and 80s, you had the privilege of receiving at your home via postal mail.
On one of the band's albums from that time you could find an advertising flyer to become a member of this privileged club and with it you would receive an OFFICIAL CARD, having the possibility of buying t-shirts with the ELO logo, in addition to receiving an OFFICIAL NEWSLETTER quarterly with current news from the band.
The first ones that Mike received were those for "Fall 1979" and "Winter 1980." Later he received the numbers "3" and "4" handwritten on the top. From then on nothing was heard from the ELO FAN CLUB, although apparently there were other newsletters that he never received.
Personally, I can say that I also joined this CLUB during those years, to which I paid the requested amount, but for which I never received the CARD, nor any information at home, even though I waited for the postman for months.
