INFORMACIÓN:
Es este un póster de la primera formación de ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA, por lo tanto pertenecería a un concierto del NO ANSWER, con ROY WOOD todavía en ella junto a Bill Hunt, Hugh McDowell, Mike Edwards, Andy Craig y, por supuesto JEFF LYNNE, BEV BEVAN y RICHARD TANDY que en aquellos tiempos era el bajista principal, aunque en algunos de los temas ya tocaba el piano. Hay que destacar que se trata del tercer concierto en la historia de esta banda y que fue organizado para realizarse en la Universidad de Bangor con Junkyard Angel como teloneros. Fechado y realizado el 22 de abril de 1972, tras los dos primeros que habían dado en el famoso The Greyhound en Croydon.
El cartel original tenía aproximadamente un tamaño de 50×76 cm. y existen lugares en internet donde el precio del original oscila entre los 230€.

El manager de la banda, que realmente quería que salieran de gira, los contrató en abril de 1971 (un año antes del primer show en vivo real), mientras que, según se informó, la banda aún estaba trabajando en completar el primer álbum. Esto, por supuesto, se canceló. Hubo informes de más shows en septiembre y octubre de 1971, aunque no se establecieron lugares ni fechas, y también tuvo que cancelarse porque la banda simplemente no estaba lista.
Además del núcleo de Roy, JEFF y BEV, finalmente se decidieron por Bill Hunt al piano y la trompa, RICHARD TANDY, un viejo amigo de la banda de la escuela con Bev y que tocó brevemente con THE MOVE en «Blackberry Way», en el bajo y, a veces, en el piano, Andy Craig al violonchelo, Wilf Gibson al violín, Hugh McDowell al violonchelo y Mike Edwards al violonchelo. Curiosamente, Wilf y el futuro violonchelista de la ELO, Melvyn Gale, eran buenos amigos y Wilf había sugerido que Melvyn se uniera a la banda en ese momento, pero él se negó y en su lugar recomendó a Hugh McDowell (que se unió) y a Mike Edwards (que también se unió unos días antes del primer concierto de la banda).
La banda solía ensayar en la casa de Roy en Rosemaries Hill Road en Birmingham. Se programaron varios conciertos en marzo y principios de abril de 1972, que fueron cancelados porque la banda simplemente no estaba lista.

This is a poster from the first lineup of **ELECTRIC LIGHT ORCHESTRA**, and therefore it would belong to a concert from the **NO ANSWER** era, with **ROY WOOD** still in the band alongside **Bill Hunt**, **Hugh McDowell**, **Mike Edwards**, **Andy Craig**, and of course **JEFF LYNNE**, **BEV BEVAN**, and **RICHARD TANDY**, who at that time was the main bassist, although he also played the piano on some tracks. It is worth noting that this was the **third concert** in the history of the band and was organized to take place at **Bangor University** with **Junkyard Angel** as the opening act. It was scheduled and performed on **April 22, 1972**, following the first two concerts they had played at the famous **The Greyhound** in Croydon.

The band's manager, who really wanted them to go on tour, booked them in April 1971 (a year before their first actual live show), while, reportedly, the band was still working on completing their first album. This, of course, was canceled. There were reports of more shows in September and October 1971, although no venues or dates were set, and these also had to be canceled because the band simply wasn't ready.
In addition to the core of Roy, JEFF, and BEV, they eventually settled on Bill Hunt on piano and French horn, RICHARD TANDY, an old school friend of Bev's who had briefly played with THE MOVE on "Blackberry Way," on bass and sometimes piano, Andy Craig on cello, Wilf Gibson on violin, Hugh McDowell on cello, and Mike Edwards on cello. Interestingly, Wilf and the future ELO cellist, Melvyn Gale, were good friends, and Wilf had suggested that Melvyn join the band at that time, but he refused and instead recommended Hugh McDowell (who joined) and Mike Edwards (who also joined just days before the band's first concert).
The band used to rehearse at Roy's house on Rosemaries Hill Road in Birmingham. Several concerts were scheduled for March and early April 1972, which were canceled because the band simply wasn't ready.
