…y es que, con cuatro conciertos, este mes abrirá JEFF LYNNE’S ELO su última gira titulada «THE OVER AND OUT TOUR», despidiendo su larga y exitosa trayectoria musical a nivel mundial si se cumple lo anunciado y de lo cual dudan sobre todo sus paisanos ingleses, a los cuáles nos sumamos tantos otros fans de distintos países del planeta.

Las dudas abundan, aunque pensemos que hablaba de un retiro musical en vivo, pero podría tratarse de una retirada definitiva y completa, con lo que podrían verse comprometidas grabaciones en estudio posiblemente ya acabadas o prácticamente listas para editar. Nadie quiere pensar que, aunque ELO de por cerrado este período de más de 50 años, deje de editarse algún álbum de despedida, así como el «LONG WAVE 2» ya finalizado desde años atrás. ¿Es posible que al finalizar el TOUR 2024 nos de a conocer algún anuncio esperanzador? Si acaba el último concierto tal y como los que le precedan y sin ninguna declaración a este respecto, desde mi punto de vista poco podemos esperar visto lo que hemos vivido años atrás y el frío se apoderará de todos nosotros, que deberemos arrimarnos a la bombilla que deberemos mantener encendida los propios fans con nuestros propios medios.

A partir del día 24 de agosto, en apenas tres semanas, irremediablemente y uno tras otro, se sucederán los conciertos haciendo felices a tantos fans de ELO/JEFF hasta que llegue el temido 26 de octubre y después de 30 previos a éste último que dará por finalizado este TOUR y, si no hay ningún otro anuncio antes, la existencia de un futuro ELO en cualquiera de sus facetas… Será todo un reto conocer si JEFF LYNNE dará o no un comunicado claro referente a esta situación, aunque si volvemos la vista atrás, muy posiblemente, la duda ante su mutismo sería, una vez más nuestra compañera.

Muy pronto comenzarán a llegar las entradas adquiridas por los fans para esta «última gira» que muchos guardarán como un tesoro por cuanto representan para nosotros. Mientras, un JEFF con más edad se habrá de preparar para lo que será todo un reto de shows que esperamos y deseamos pueda superar con dignidad tratándose del último y con el hándicap del lapsus entre éste y el anterior TOUR. El tiempo nunca pasa en balde.

Por otro lado, desde ELO ESPAÑA esperamos poder hacer un seguimiento lo más completo posible de este «THE OVER AND OUT TOUR» teniendo en cuenta que a fecha de hoy todo indica que es el último. Una vez acabado… todo será cuestión de plantearse la nueva situación, aunque en principio nuestra intención es la de continuar manteniendo la llama encendida donde calentar nuestras manos al menos. ELO/JEFF lo merece, sin duda…

Doubts abound, although we think he was talking about a live musical retirement, it could be a complete and definitive retirement, which could compromise studio recordings possibly already finished or almost ready for release. No one wants to think that, although ELO may close this more than 50-year period, a farewell album will cease to be released, such as the "LONG WAVE 2" already finished years ago. From August 24th, in just three weeks, the concerts will inevitably follow one after another, making so many ELO/JEFF fans happy until the dreaded October 26th arrives. After 30 concerts preceding this last one, it will mark the end of this TOUR and, if no other announcement is made before, the existence of a future ELO in any of its facets… It will be quite a challenge to know if JEFF LYNNE will make a clear statement regarding this situation, although if we look back, most likely, the doubt due to his silence will once again be our companion.
Very soon, the tickets acquired by fans for this "final tour" will start arriving, and many will treasure them for what they represent to us. Meanwhile, an older JEFF will have to prepare for what will be a challenge of shows that we hope and wish he can overcome with dignity, considering it is the last one and with the handicap of the lapse between this and the previous TOUR. Time never passes in vain.
On the other hand, from ELO SPAIN, we hope to be able to provide the most complete follow-up possible of this "THE OVER AND OUT TOUR" considering that as of today everything indicates that it is the last one. Once it's over… it will be a matter of contemplating the new situation, although initially, our intention is to continue keeping the flame alive, at least to warm our hands. ELO/JEFF undoubtedly deserves it…
